The ring solar eclipse occurred in 26 January 2009. Although not all the stages, this event can be witnessed from the Indonesian territory sunset.

Areas that can witness the full ring eclipse is Banten, Lampung, South Sumatera, Bangka-Belitung, West Kalimantan, Central Kalimantan, East Kalimantan, and Central Sulawesi. As in other areas can only be seen partially eclipse the sun with the sun disc closure of more than 50 percent.
